American power metal band. The band actually consists of most of the members from New Eden, but with ex-Helstar vocalist, James Rivera. Power/speed metal is their game.

Another band I discovered reading Scream Magazine. I heard the song "Rebirth" on a sampler the magazine gave out, and after that I was hooked. Destiny's End is of course most noticeable for it's members. Members from New Eden and Helstar came together and formed this band. And musically they are just what you'd expect from such an alliance. This is a blend of speed and power metal, with hints of thrash thrown in. The guitars drives the music forth, and the rhythm section adds to the mix, rather then just exist as a back bone. James' vocals rule, as always, and becomes a wailing ingredient that sets the band apart from the masses. If I had to make one negative comment on this CD, it would have to be that the songs a little bit too much alike each other. The album as a while gets a little undiversified. But this is a minor complaint. Sadly this band never got the recognition they had well deserved. Today they enjoy a cult status, and they are truly one of the better acts in their genre.

Second album from Destiny's End, and more in the same vain as the previous. I do find this release to be a bit more varied though, resulting in a more dynamic album. And the speedier elements have made way for more mid-paced stuff, and even some really slow parts here and there. Combined this makes my prefer this album of the two the band got to release. This is great American power/speed metal, nothing more, nothing less! These musicians are so tight, and well played, it is a joy to listen to. But the music is not about showmanship. It's about creating heavy metal of noble character, and that they succeed with to the fullest.
