I actually don't see the point in releasing solo-material when you are the head of your own band. Especially not when the solo-stuff sound so much alike the main band's stuff. That said, this is a very fine album. The sound is much like Dokken in their glory days, around 'Back For The Attack'. The difference from Don's mainband is of course the band-members. And what a star-team he has come up with: John Norum (Europe, now in Dokken), Peter Baltes (Accept) and Mikkey Dee (King Diamond, Motörhead). This solo-stuff are also a bit more mellow. The songs are very melodic, and the whole album is a pleasant listen. I have no problem putting it on, and spinning it over and over. If you like Dokken, you also like this!
Rock trivia: Some of the members of this band starred in the Tommy Chong movie, 'Far Out Man'. They played a band Tommy rented to play at a party in his garden!!
Killer tracks: Crash 'N Burn, When Some Nights, When Love Finds A Fool
John Norum guest appearances:
V/A - 'Spacewalk - A Tribute To Ace Frehley'
