American power thrash metal band. Can be traced all the way back to New Jersey in 1978, but started to make a name for themselves opening for Twisted Sister in 1982. Their first album came in 1987, but the band broke up in 1989. Then they appeared again in 1994, followed by silence, until 1999. Members have also appeared in Watchtower and Non-Fiction. Hades state in their CD booklets:
"We used no lawyers, managers or cover songs in the making of these recordings!"

Since I prior to getting this only had heard records released after this one, all the songs were new to me. The album was thought to be a one off happening. A testament as to what Hades' reunion gigs sounded like (the band was split up, but ones a year they did a gig or three). The band sound like they are having fun, and that's the whole idea with this CD.
Rock trivia: The song 'Rape...' includes an original beginning, that Metallica supposedly "borrowed" for their song, 'Enter Sandman'. Do you hear the similarity?

This was the album that first put my attention to Hades. It got a good review in Scream Magazine, and my search began. It was harder to get a hold of it than first expected, 'cause I got hold of the 2 latter discs first. The CD was of course worth the wait. It is typical Hades material, and I know see that you know what you get when you buy a Hades album. One of the more constant American metal bands. Some of the songs sounds like a mix between Anthrax and Slayer, but Hades varies more. Riffs, power and speed, mixed with more mid-tempo stuff. Great!

There are so many albums that are really great, but still seem anonymous to me. This is such an album. The music is awesome, but I can't seem to tell the songs apart. But are you looking for American power thrash, don't hesitate!

I actually like this record a bit better than the previous. Seems to be a bit more melodic, but still crunchy and hard. Some parts reminds me of old Anthrax. The only negative thing is the awful "California Song". Beach Boys on speed, yuck!!
Killer tracks: DamNation, Out The Window, This I Know
