I never thought I'd find this independently released CD. This band have become pretty popular, and since they only pressed about 1000 copies of this CD, I thought for sure they would never show up. But it did, at a friends house, and he was selling it. Needless to say I snagged it, fast! But I still had a tiny problem. I didn't exactly know if I liked what I heard or not. Sure, these guys writes interesting songs, and they have a style that are quite unique to them. But at first I could not really get into them. Gladly enough, those first impressions didn't last very long. After a few spins the world of Into Eternity opened up in front of my very ears. And it has been a blast ever since. No other band I can think of combines technical metal with both death and clean vocals like these guys do. Every song is a showcase in excellent metal craftsmanship. I guess if you like bands such as Extol, Death, Control Denied etc. you will also love Into Eternity. There is no denying great metal!

Oh my goodness, what a fabulous album!! Into Eternity have grown immensely as a band since their debut album. And that is actually saying a lot, considering how frightfully good they were already back then. Again they shine throughout the entire album. They are really technical, yet ultra-tight. The guitars are almost neo-classical in nature, and forget everything you've ever learned about playing rhythm. These guys play lead guitar work all the time! Some might call it wankery, or noodleing, but I call it impressive! The mix of clean and death vocals have never sounded better than on this album. It just flows so natural for these guys. Finally I wanna thank Justin for turning me on to this band. Finally replaced my cardboard promo version with a real issue.
Killer tracks: Another one with no fillers, only killers!

A new line-up of Into Eternity gives us a new album. But even though 3 members are out, and 2 new faces are in, there hasn't been a too drastic change in their music. This is still a full on progressive, melodic death metal assault. My senses are bombarded with new impressions on every listen. But the music if of course very well written, and a balance within the insanity id ever present. I'm actually inclined to say that this is the most mainstream album from these Canadians so far. Although I'm not sure such a word can be used describing a band of this caliber. It might have something to do with the fact that they are using more clean vocals then death vocals here. All I know is that they are extremely good at what thy do, and 'Scattering Of Ashes' is yet another triumph in the bands career.
