This band will always be known as one of Adrian Smith's post-Iron Maiden efforts, together with A.S.A.P. But the truth is, this band also included some other great musicians. Just take a look at some of the names of others bands, that members of Psycho Motel have played with: Sons Of Angels, A-Ha, Wishbone Ash, 21 Guns, Asia and Phenomena.

I never liked A.S.A.P. (Adrian Smith And Project) very much, so I wasn't all that eager to hear this band either. But I borrowed a copy from a friend, just to check it out. And I must say that this album turned out to be a pleasant surprise. In combining Solli's (ex-Sons Of Angels) cool voice with Adrian's great guitar playing, they get an excellent match. The album is very guitar-oriented, but that is no drawback, to say the least. Fans of bands like Badlands, Tesla etc. should check Psycho Motel out. An overall good album, that invites to several listens, but might drown a bit in the huge catalogue of other similar albums. Psycho Motel also released a second album (that appears on my want list). I secured the Japanese version of 'State Of Mind' which holds 2 bonus tracks.
