Ravenlord were a band from my hometown. They were influenced by bands like Lost Horizon, Hammerfall, Edguy, Iron Maiden and Helloween. In other words; they played true melodic power metal.

To review music made by friends is a difficult task. It's almost impossible to be objective. But I'm really glad to say that I enjoy this demo. It might of course help that I'm a huge fan of their musical style, but that alone isn't enough. Yes it does lack a good production, and yes the vocals do need a little getting used to, but these are minor problems. Because the music is really well written, and especially guitarist/songwriter Morten has a lot to contribute with. This is one talented musician! Ravenlord is in no way, form or shape a groundbreaking band, but I truly believe that they can make a name for themselves with more experience. If you like your metal powerful, yet melodic, I urge you to check out this band.
