First let me start by saying that this is not my preferred style of music. Call it metalcore, nu-metal or aggressive metal, and I usually turn my head in another direction. And the fact that I already heard a demo of this band, some time ago, that didn't exactly make much of an impression in me, didn't make my interest any greater. So the surprise was humongous when I actually enjoyed listening to this CD. 'Accurate Representation' gave me music in the musical territory in between Slipknot, Pantera, Machine Head and Sepultura. And although their image, and lyrical approach, is firmly rooted in the nu-metal/metalcore area, the music itself is more than varied enough for me to let my guard down nevertheless. Miked's voice is aggressive, at times borderline death metal like. And thank goodness, there are guitar-solos here! Heck, I think they even threw in some dual guitar-work here and there too! Now, that warms an old metal heart! But the best thing that this album has going for it, are the memorable tunes. I find my head banging along all the time. And most of the songs actually grab, no make that demand, my attention. Sinikil's 'Accurate Representation' will become one of the select few metalcore album in my collection.
