Almost simultaneously I discovered two, to me, new Christian classic metal bands. One of them were Shining Force, and the second band was Spittin Jonah. And to my delight, both of the bands were to my liking! These guys have been around for a while. And 'Louder Than Hell' was actually released in the year 2000. So this is hardly new music. The Iron Maiden influences are very easy to hear. Especially the song "Proclamation" is almost a rip-off of the Maiden track "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son". Funny thing is that this track is my favorite on this album. I can also hear some Armored Saint similarities, mostly in the vocal department. Then throw in some Helstar, and I think you have a good picture of what to expect. A thick wall of heavy metal! 'Louder Than Hell' is a decent debut platter, making me eager to hear more from the band. I think they will get even better with time. They are currently recording a follow-up, entitled 'The Doomsayer Cometh'.
