I have to admit, instrumental albums like this rarely interests me. But seeing how my good friend Arttie gave me this album (thanks, buddy), I thought I'd give it a spin. After all, I love Guardian, so the CD belongs in the collection anyhow. And what do you know, this album is actually very good! I didn't even miss not hearing any vocals at all. The music is guitar oriented (duh!) and bluesy. Typical guitar-instrumental stuff. But Tony's not trying to show off. He just plays what's on his mind. I suspect some of the tracks to be pretty improvised. The booklet states that some of the songs are new, and some are of an older variety. I guess that is what makes the album so diverse. Notable guest musicians are Karl Ney from Guardian and Chris Frazier, ex-Steve Vai drummer. The booklet contains Tony's personal notes to all of the tracks.

Killer tracks: Swamp Thing, Big Slam, Upon The Face Of The Waters
