Troglodyte Dawn....... chew on the name for a minute. What kind of music do you think this band play? The music is of course well placed within the doom area of metal. But do not think that doom is all this one man project has to offer. Randy Michaud (ex-D.T. Seizure) is the brain behind this professional looking demo. The Black Sabbath and St.Vitus influences are here in plenty. But on top of that Randy adds these somber, ambient parts as well as some traditional worship themes. In combining these different elements, he has come up with some interesting tracks, with quite a unique sound. Randy's songwriting skills are able to shine through, even though the overall low-budget sound leaves something to be desired. With a full band, and a proper recording budget, I bet this band will make some heads turn. Lyrically Troglodyte Dawn are taking a stand for Christianity. Heck, Randy even covered/parodied the Black Sabbath tune "After Forever", famous for it's spiritual lyrics, but he rewrote most of the lyrics, and renamed it "Forever After", so that there can be no doubt as to where his beliefs are. It will be most interesting to see what comes next from this band from Phoenix, Arizona. A drummer is already on board, so the ride has just begun.
Killer tracks: Fallen World, Redeemed
