There is only one way to describe Tyrant: Heavy Metal!! The copyright year of the CD says 1996, but the sound of the music takes me back at least 10 years prior to that, maybe even 2 or 3 years more then that too. This is US heavy metal, or power metal if you will, like it sounded in the early 80's. The album is produced by none other than Bill Metoyer, and it doesn't sound dated, just old school. And in my book, that is not a bad thing at all. In fact there are very few bands still playing metal in this style. October 31 is the only name that comes to my mind. Accompanying this cool music are lyrics that show the band members faith. So with Christian lyrics, this album is even more interesting to me. 'King Of Kings' is the bands 3rd album, so I'm looking for the other 2 releases now also.
