Vaakevandring have become a legendary band in the Christian metal circuit (ironically, not all of the members of this band are Christians). Their only release, up until this 2004 reissue, was a 3 track demo, released in 1999. You can see the original cover art above. This demo sold for ridiculous amounts on ebay. I used to own the original demo version of this CD, but traded it away when I bought this 2004 reissue, released on Monumentum Scandinavia. It features new artwork (I personally liked the original artwork much better!), and a bonus demo track. Not sure why they did not include the song "Fall Of Man", featured on the Endtime Productions sampler 'In The Shadow Of Death'. The music is folk-laden, atmospheric black metal, with primitive production. The most notable feature here is the vocal performance of Ronny Hansen (now in Antestor). They also use a lot of keyboards, and even some female vocals. The lyrics for "Fader Vår" are the Norwegian translation of The Lord's Prayer. Tracks number 2 and 3 are my favorites here.
