ONE BY ONE THE WICKED FALL (2006) DEMO/EP (CDR)

Who would have thought that we would see a whole slew of new thrash metal acts in this new millennium? It's talk of a new Thrash Metal Revival! It has not been this fun listening to demo's of new bands since the early to mid-80's! Bands like Municipal Waste, Avenger Of Blood, Sanctity, Gama Bomb and Evile are all stepping forth as worthy inheritors to the thrash metal throne. Warbringer is is good company indeed. They play the fast and filthy kind of thrash. They have mostly in common with the European version of the genre. But they also mix some melody for good measure. The result is a blend of all the aggressive styles that is thrash. The blistering drums, pummeling bass and lightning fast guitars are accompanied by a raspy, shrieking vocalist. Imagine Kreator and Sodom mixed with Exodus, and you might get an idea of their sound. 'One By One The Wicked Fall' is the bands third demo, released in 2006. I discovered them thanks to MySpace, and ordered the EP directly from the band. I'm not sure if the EP was initially pressed on silver discs, but my copy is only a CDR with a new label stuck on it. Long Live Thrash Metal!
